FAQ

Questions, answered.

If your question is not here, we would be glad to hear from you.

Commissions

How long does a bespoke commission take?

Most creations take 10-12 weeks from first consultation to presentation. Designs of particular complexity, or rare stones, may take a little longer. We will confirm your timeline before work begins.

How does the process begin?

With a private consultation, in London or by video. We talk through your ideas, how the creation will be worn and the kind of stone you are drawn to. From there, we begin sourcing.

How is a commission priced?

Each creation is quoted individually, as the stone, the metal and the design all shape the final price. We share a clear quote once the design direction is agreed, and always before anything is made.

How do payments work?

In three stages. A £300 sourcing fee begins the search. The fee is non-refundable, and is credited toward your commission. Your chosen stone is then secured with full payment before the design begins. The setting is paid once you approve the CAD render, before crafting begins.

Can I make changes to the design?

Of course. Changes are welcome throughout the design and CAD stages. Once you approve the final render, production begins, and any further changes may affect the timeline and cost.

Can you work to a particular date?

Please share your date at our first conversation. We will always tell you plainly what is possible, and plan the work around it.

Stones and Materials

Do you work with lab-grown stones?

We work exclusively with natural diamonds and gemstones.

Are your stones certified?

Diamonds of 1ct and above are presented with an independent grading report from GIA or IGI. Colored stones of 1ct and above come with a report from GIA, IGI, GRS or Gübelin.

Where do your stones come from?

We source through trade relationships built over many years in high jewelry, and every stone is selected by us personally.

Can you find a specific stone for me?

Yes. Stone sourcing is one of our core services, and champagne and colored diamonds are our particular expertise. Share what you have in mind and we will begin the search.

Which metals do you work with?

Our house metal is 18k rose gold, chosen for the warmth it lends to every stone. Yellow gold, white gold and platinum are also available.

Is my creation hallmarked?

Yes. Every creation is independently hallmarked by a UK Assay Office.

Heritage

Can you use stones from jewelry I already own?

Yes. Our heritage resets give inherited or unworn jewelry a new life. We assess the jewelry and its stones first, then propose directions for you to consider.

Will you examine my stones before recommending a design?

Always. Every stone is examined before we propose a direction, so you know exactly what you are working with.

Appointments

Where are you based?

We are based in London and see clients privately, by appointment.

Do you offer virtual consultations?

Yes. Many of our clients begin by video, and some complete their commission without meeting in person at all.

Do you work with clients outside the UK?

Yes. We work with clients internationally, and every creation is shipped fully insured.

After Your Creation

Can a bespoke creation be returned or exchanged?

As every creation is made to your specification, bespoke commissions cannot be returned or exchanged.

What if my ring needs resizing?

We confirm sizing with care before production begins. Should an adjustment be needed after presentation, every ring includes one complimentary resize, where technically feasible.

How will my creation be delivered?

You are welcome to collect it at a private appointment in London, or to receive it by fully insured, signature-required courier.

Is my creation covered by a warranty?

We stand behind the craftsmanship of every creation. Should a manufacturing issue ever arise, we will put it right.

As accidental damage and loss fall outside any warranty, we recommend adding your creation to your home insurance.

How should I care for my jewelry?

Store each creation on its own, and remove it before exercise, swimming or cleaning. The care guidance presented with every creation covers the rest, and we are always glad to advise.
